Pearl Media manages the billboard advertising panels at one of the city’s busiest intersections: the corner of Fraser St and 15th Avenue (State Highway 2a).

Located right in the centre of Tauranga, a standout feature of this property is the billboard advertising signs that wrap around the building.

At 36 meters, it’s one of NZ’s most unique billboard wraps, prominently displaying the advertiser’s message to traffic approaching the intersection from all four directions.

There are two 12m x 3m panels, and two 6m x 3m metre panels which equate to the 36 metres wrap. Plus, there is a smaller a bonus panel at 5m x 1.6m.

The panels are illuminated by spotlights, which extend the visibility of the signs in the evenings. Each panel displays a very prominent advertising message to the passing traffic.

Traffic engineers consider this intersection to be one of the busiest overall in Tauranga for traffic volume. A day-count on 14 March 2013 recorded it as 3rd busiest with 38,072 vehicles.

The billboard panels are leased as a package to a prominent local advertiser, who has enjoyed the exposure for a term of 6 years, recently extended by a further 9 months as their project completes.

A new multi-year contract is available from 1 October 2016.
